SUMMER CAMPS
Our performance-focused music theatre camps are educational, fun and inspiring! We believe kids can command their own audiences. The summer program focuses on developing well-rounded performers who work as a team. Working with some of the top theatre educators in Chicagoland, students will learn beginning- and intermediate-level skills in acting, singing and movement. The camps include skill-building, rehearsing for a final performance, and social/recreational activities designed to ensure a well-rounded summer camp experience. In 2012, our summer programs are based on Disney’s Aladdin. We are pleased to offer three different grade-levels, at three different locations around Chicagoland. Generous financial aid available – Click here to apply for financial aid before enrolling.

ABOUT ALADDIN: All of your favorite characters come to life in this stage adaptation of the hit animated film. Filled with magic, adventure, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, this production will also bring to life some of the beautiful cultural elements of a far-away time and place. Follow the exciting journey of the common “street urchin” Aladdin as he tries to win the heart of Princess Jasmine (and her father, the Sultan). Other favorite characters include the hilarious, wise-cracking Genie (made famous by Robin Williams in the movie), evil Jafar and his bumbling sidekicks, Jafar’s outspoken parrot, Iago, and even the flying carpet – who, in our production, has a starring role. The tuneful, Academy award-winning score with songs like “One Jump Ahead,” “A Whole New World,” “Prince Ali,” and “Friend Like Me” make this one of the most exciting and inspiring shows of all time. QUALITY OF PRODUCTIONS: We believe in the highest-quality productions – even for the youngest of actors. Our 5-week programs – the Youth Company cohorts – will be fully-produced, with professionally designed costumes, sets, props and lighting – not to mention, a live band! Our shorter programs will also incorporate costumes and props as well as a few of the scenic elements designed for the ticketed shows. You will be amazed at the quality of your child’s work…Kids really can command their own audiences! Click here for sample photos of recent youth shows directed by our Education Director.
FINANCIAL AID: Financial aid is still available, but only for a limited time. So please submit your confidential financial aid form as soon as possible, and upon receiving your award notification, you will be prompted to register for camp. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. See the Financial Aid page for complete policies.
REFUND POLICY: Because demand is high, and other students may be turned away, we must enforce a strict refund policy. Tuition is refundable, minus a $50 administrative fee, until April 15. Between April 15 and May 15, 50% will be refunded; after May 15, no refunds will be offered unless the program is full and we can find a substitute camper, in which case, a 50% administrative fee will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel a camp that has not reached minimum enrollment; Notifications will be made 14 days prior to the start of camp, in the unlikely event that should occur, and all payments will be refunded.
